Why are Ball Sizes & Weights Important?
One size per weight does not fit all - The size ratio of ball to rib cage which is the base of support for lifts, increases and decreases the level of effort.
The training effect - A smaller diameter ball enables a better grip for speed/power. Midsize ball requires more strength/power and large ball sizes are for heavy weight strength.
Negative leverage - A ball’s weight held away from the body’s centerline at less/more than right angles from shoulder increases the weight load on the working joint.
Constant feel - Grip D-Ball at circumference and lift body and ball simultaneously. Hold ball continuously repetition after repitiion for the whole set. Every time the ball touches the ground, the athlete is resting and doesn’t get the job done.
